I know I’m not the only one irritated by the weather lately… it’s officially spring and we are still having fall/winter weather! Good news is that it’s supposed to warm up this weekend so I’m definitely looking forward to that :)

In the meantime, I have a special session to share with you guys this afternoon! I got together with a few talented folks back in January because I had an idea for a fun cold-weather city shoot and these ladies rocked it! It was my first time working with model Yuliana and she was an absolute joy to work with! It was also my first time working with wardrobe stylist Erica Joi and she did a great job taking my rough ideas and transforming them into these looks you see here.

Hair was taken care of by the always fabulous Anastasia and the beautiful makeup looks were courtesy of Mischelle!

Aaand… Because I like naming things, I think I’ll call this set “Seeing Stars” lol.

Enjoy!

So this took me a bit longer than expected lol… When I tell you last month was busy, it was BUSY! Now that I have a few spare moments (literally) I finally got the chance to finish up the editing on this awesome shoot! This was a fun project my favorite stylist Bianca and I worked together on and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Here is Part 1 if you missed it :)

Huge thanks to the talented team involved (esp for getting up at 2 in the morning)!

Tequila Sunrise Pt 1 | Washington, DC Fashion & Editorial Photographer

Good morning lovelies! I hope you all had a great weekend :)

Despite the sweltering heat and sleep deprivation, I had a great weekend! lol… One of the highlights? This awesome shoot I can’t wait to share with you :)

My faaavorite stylist Bianca had this beautiful shoot concept and I couldn’t wait to shoot it! But wait I had to… the original date for this shoot was back in July- the day after the powerful derecho hit our area :/ So needless to say, we had to reschedule. We were so bummed, but things couldn’t have come together more perfectly :)

This was my first time shooting at sunrise and hopefully not my last! (I’m still not a fan of having to get up so early lol) but the photos totally made it worth it!

Huge thanks to the talented team involved (esp for getting up at 2 in the morning)!

Day In The Life: April 25, 1953 | Washington, DC Fashion Photographer

About a month ago I had the privilege of working with an awesome team to help bring this idea to life! I’d been thinking of doing a shoot like this for a while… I started back in October when I did my first vintage styled shoot and I’ve been in love ever since! I plan to do a full vintage series so look for a few more installments in the future :)

This time around, I had a slightly different team: Monica was our lovely model, hair was cared for by Anastasia of VisuallyChic, makeup by Larissa of HAUS of LV, and styling was cared for by myself along with Shannon of House of JAT- the second dress is a custom design from her boutique!

I had a blast working with these ladies! Hopefully we’ll get to work on a few more projects together. Anyway I am going to stop rambling let these images speak for themselves :)

Enjoy!

This set was totally inspired by a skirt lol… yep, the moment I laid eyes on this awesome black & white striped skirt by Shannon at House of JAT, I knew I had to do a shoot with it. I was inspired by the skirt SO much I even bought shoes to match! Well kinda… I like stripes so I was going to get the shoes anyway lol.

When I came across this cool black & white mural in DC, the vision came together and my fabulous model Erica nailed it- These are the resulting images :)
