Mommy & Me: Spring Edition | Washington, DC Photographer

So... it was a pretty ambitious goal to blog every day until the start of Spring, and I gotta tell you, it hasn't been easy! This post is technically arriving on Saturday (in my time zone) but it'll still be Friday elsewhere so I'm going to make this my Friday AND Saturday post. Boom, problem solved lol.

Now, on to the goods:

Can I tell you what an honor it is to be able to document mothers with their children? No matter how old you get, those will always be photos that you treasure- ones with your mom :) So to be able to capture moments that will bring my clients enjoyment for years to come is a real privilege.

Good Sunday evening to you!

I hope your weekend was a pleasant one :) I am writing this at the end of a very busy weekend of shooting and gearing up for what might rival last year as my busiest fall season ever!

I didn't get a chance to blog much (or any) of the sessions in their entirety from last fall, so I'm going to begin sharing now and will hopefully catch up by the time the season ends lol.

First up is a sweet mini session with the beautiful Harrison Family! I first worked with them in Fall 2015, and I was so happy to get them back in front of my camera for updated photos in Fall 2016 🍂💛🍁

Rounding out today's #FamilyFriday feature, we have the Scarlett Family!

I first met Rasheid back in May 2014 when we did a spring mini session with his then 6-year old twins, Elijah & Olivia!

Fast-forward a couple seasons, and in December 2014 we got together once more for family photos with his oldest son Nijah!

The following year in August 2015, we linked back up for a one-on-one mentoring session!

And this year, we got back together for family photos with his now 9-year old twins! The day of their session was a hot one, but we had so much fun :)

I can't tell you how happy I am to grow with my clients 💚. When I do posts like these it makes me soo thankful that I get to do this for a living!

I was honored to capture their very first family photos! And I couldn't be happier with how they turned out 💙

Willie & Nicole's 7 month old son, Jonah, was absolutely the sweetest! He was full of laughter and smiles, and gave me all kinds of eye contact lol. It was a joy to photograph these moments for the Coles, and I look forward to seeing their beautiful family blossom in years to come!
